Our Christian Responsibility - to Seek, to Share, to Save!
Evangelism
The word evangelism simply means to share or bring about make known good news. Why is it good news, because it is the declaration that through the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have been delivered from the power of sin and death 1Cor 15:1-4. It is this good news we MUST share with others who have not heard.
WE MUST MAKE THIS OF THE HIGHEST PRIORITY
Christ commanded it.
The Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 as our evangelistic and disciples-making command.
Go and make Disciples.
All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy ‘Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age. Matt. 28:20
Christ is the only way of salvation.
Salvation has been brought down from heaven. There is only one way. In John 14:6: “Jesus told him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’” (And that means No One)!
Christ died for the world.
A familiar passage of scripture John 3:16 shows us that Jesus died for the world not leaving anyone out. He is the savior of the world and has He has provided a way for everyone to be saved. The Lord is not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
